the house is situated amonts an incredible landscape
of mountains and valleys, where life continues as it has
for centuries. no electricity in the house, but it is very
cosy (check the pictures!). great fireplace, the milky
way is visible every single night from the flat rooftop.
very friendly bereber neighbours, that will likely invite
you over for lunch. many different one-day (or more)
trekking routes around the house. the valley`s main
town is called `tabant`, and it`s situated 25 min away on
foot. it hosts the sunday market, where locals stock up
for the entire week. it is a great sight! there is a place
in the puters connected to . the pletely safe, and one
feels in total connection with nature. local products are
apples, almonds, honey. the house is situated 220 km
east of marrakech. to get there by public transport, you
can catch a shared taxi from marrakech to azilal (2
hours 15 minutes, around 7 euros per person), and
then change there to another shared taxi to ait
bougmez (1 hour 45 min, around 3 euros per person).
the house can be easily linked to the electricity grid
which does exist in the valley. i am the owner, a 33
year-old spanish man. i bought the house a few years
ago and have spent periods of time there, but due to
my actual lifestyle i don`t have time to go anymore. the
house and the valley are both very special and
beautiful places in all morocco.
